About Me.

Kimberley Bracher

Humanitarian Aid or Feel Good Holiday.

My name is Kimberly Bracher.
I want to stop the negative aspects of humanitarian Trips.

I am a 17 year old girl from Donvale Christian College. I thrive off good conversations and being surrounded by people. I adore books, nature, photography and learning new things.

I want to raise awareness of the problems that can result from well meaning but actually harmful aspects of humanitarian trips so that they empower communities in developing countries instead of bringing them down.

Why does your idea matter to you?

I want to raise awareness ...

about the problems with humanitarian trips so that people can change the way they do them. I know that the people who go on humanitarian trips have good intentions but sometimes the communities they have gone to help suffer from their actions.

How would you describe yourself?

A social Butterfly

I am a people person and thrive from conversation and new ideas.

I'm open minded, easy going and passionate about things that really matter to me. I'm not certain what I want to do as a career yet, something in the realm of religion or politics would be amazing.

How does who you are contribute to what you want to share?

I think it is important to empower ...

humanitarian help can bring down communities and even lead to abuse and child trafficking. We can approach humanitarian aid in a way that gives people in developing countries a hand up and empowers them.
