TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TED Talks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
They are produced by volunteers under a license from the TED organisation which provides general guidance for the TEDx organisers, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.
In Casey we want our events to reflect the innovations, issues and talents of our local community subject to certain rules and regulations imposed by TED to protect the brand of TEDx from commercial exploitation and drifting too far from it’s mission.
